What usually happens after the wedding ceremony?

When organizing a wedding, there are several important units that make it up. These are the most common: the preparation of the newlyweds, their first look, the wedding ritual, the church ritual, the session and the evening part. From a logistical point of view, a good option is to plan the session for the time after the rituals or before welcoming the newlyweds in the restaurant. No matter what part of the wedding day is the session of the newlyweds, there is always a gap for the guests at this time.

One of the best ways to make the most of this time for guests and to spend quality time is to organize a welcome drink. This modern concept can be explained as the time when a cocktail party is organized for the guests. In this way, they have the opportunity to relax in the middle of the day before the upcoming party in the evening.

This solves several problems. The first of which is the utilization of the time in which guests are left without the company of the newlyweds. This time is usually between 1-2 hours.

Another advantage is that guests have the opportunity to relax and cool off with fresh cocktails and drinks.

In addition to enjoying fresh cocktails and the company of friends, in this gap people have time to change. They can check in if they haven’t had time before, and the more tired can even indulge in a short, pre-party nap.

Good points of reference in organizing a welcome drink are:

  • The presence of a shady place, preferably with a good view.
  • Good enough range of drinks (and snacks), both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
  • Live music – saxophonist or band. They give a great mood.
  • Small gifts for guests of the variety – survival kit (10 ideas to surprise your guests on the wedding day).

Expect the next article, in which we will tell you what it is and how the session with the newlyweds goes.
