Vlad contacted us back in 2019. He told us about their wedding idea with Daria this coming summer. Everything was so international, he – Bulgarian, spent most of his life in Cyprus, she – Russian, also grew up in Cyprus. And now they both live in Luxembourg. Their friends are from all over the world. It didn’t take us long to decide that we wanted to be part of exciting experience. And on this unknown and unexplored island in the Mediterranean.
After the events of the early 2020s and all the measures the Cypriot government had imposed, it became clear that the wedding was being postponed for some time. And here their time came, the end of July, another year later.
Cyprus. Late July – hot and humid (but new and unexplored). And so we found ourselves there, together with our talented friend – Alexander Kartchinski. Together we had the task of covering this interesting event.
The day before the wedding, Vlad and Daria took us to a traditional Cypriot village called Omodos, preserving the spirit and culture of the island. In between wine tasting, testing the traditional Cypriot shushuko (treat), we did a short couple’s session. This day didn’t just end. In the evening, together with the guests, a catamaran was waiting for us at the port of Limassol, where we would all enjoy the Limassol sunset with a glass of champagne in hand (well, some of us with a camera in hand🙃).
And so after that rehearsal night came the wedding day. We’ll just mention that the wedding was at the beautiful seaside location “Pebble Beach Residence” in Limassol, and we’ll let the short film we created for the newlyweds tell the rest of the story. Enjoy!
